Looking for a gravity-defying adventure to discover with friends? Then you’ll want to challenge your inner ninja at the new Rope Runner Ariel Adventure Park in Squamish.

Opening this April, the course is split into four levels of difficulty to allow visitors their ideal pace for this 2 hour challenge. In addition, there are 50 different elements and 36 stations to scale, adding a great deal of variation to the adventure.

The first of its kind in British Columbia, the park is located in the Sea to Sky corridor. From Vancouver, that’s about an hour drive from downtown to the park.

The course soars at 17 meters high and 20 meters in diameter; it is built of steel, wood, ropes and wire. From a 3 level “Vertical Climb” to a “Free Fall,” there are elements to test the nerves of all guests. In addition, it includes a giant spider web 3 levels up, which sounds very intriguing.

Requirements:

  • A release of liability waiver must be signed by all participants before climbing in the park
  • Closed toe shoes must be worn
  • Hair must be tied back
  • Pockets must be emptied of everything (including phones)
