The Pattullo Bridge will be closed to all vehicle traffic from 9:00 pm on Friday, October 16 until 12 pm on Sunday, October 18.
The closure will be apart of Translink’s scheduled maintenance, and pothole repairs. While several potholes have been patched up this year, additional repairs will be made to ensure the bridge is safe for drivers. Translink also plans to inspect and monitor the condition of the aging deck.
While the bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic, emergency vehicles will still have access to cross the bridge as well as cyclists and pedestrians who can access the sidewalk.
Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes to cross the Fraser River during the weekend closure. Transit users who use the bus are also advised that the N19 NightBus will re-route via Queensborough Bridge and Alex Fraser. The 321 on Sunday morning will end at Scott Road.
More extensive deck repairs are still planned for 2016 as part of the broader rehabilitation program of the existing bridge.
