McDonald’s To Introduce Self-order Kiosks, Table Delivery + More

McDonald’s as we know it is about to take a drastic turn, and one for the better.

The popular burger franchise has been making small changes since it began its brand transformation in 2010, the boldest move is yet to come however. To mark its 50th anniversary in 2017, McDonald’s has revealed it will change its restaurant service model, and introduce self-order kiosks, table delivery, as well as new options to customize your orders.

Self-order Kiosks

Kiosks at participating restaurants will give guests a modern and convenient opportunity to try their own hand at customizing their burger using the Create Your Taste menu and ordering at their own pace.

Customized Menu Options

A new Create Your Taste menu will allow  guests to build their own premium burger in five simple steps.  Guests can choose from nearly 30 options including five types of cheese, 12 toppings, two buns, a lettuce wrap and nine sauces. Create Your Taste will be introduced to approximately 1000 restaurants across Canada by the end of 2017.

Table Delivery

Guests will soon experience table delivery complete with the warm and genuine hospitality. Once an order has been placed with Create Your Taste, guests can take a seat while they wait for one of the new dedicated wait staff to deliver their order right to their table.

“We want our guests to walk in and be wowed by an experience that’s modern and personalized, but still the McDonald’s they know and love.”

Other areas McDonald’s plans to focus on is food quality, and employment. By the end of 2017, the franchise expects to grow to 100,000 people, adding 15,000 new jobs across the corporate offices and franchised restaurants.

I’m lovin it.
