Krispy Kreme Pops Up In Richmond For Power Rangers Filming

Krispy Kreme

Richmond has morphed into a backdrop set for the upcoming Power Rangers movie, which films in Steveston Village from April 25 to May 19.

The first among many tweaks to the heritage fishing village is the addition of a Krispy Kreme doughnuts sign right off Second ave and Moncton.

Majority of the filming will take place on Moncton Street between First and Third ave. Additional filming will take place on Bayview Street.

While there hasn’t been many script leaks of the movie thus far, it’s safe to assume one or all of the teenage superheroes  will be filming a scene at the doughnut chain.

The Power Rangers movie is expected to be released in January 2017.

Fun fact: There is currently only one Krispy Kreme Doughnut location in British Columbia, it’s located off 72nd and Scott Road in North Delta.
