According to the notice, consumers are asked to “immediately stop using it and safely dispose of the item in such a way that it cannot be used again.”
Baby Activity Walker Consumer Advisory in Canada
The advisory concerns Baby Activity Walker Multi Functional Anti Drop Light Musical 8 Wheels Infant Activity Walker Rocker Light Purple. This product was previously available on Fruugo.ca.
“A baby walker is an enclosed activity structure built to support a baby or young child in either a sitting or standing position so that their feet touch the floor,” explains Health Canada. “Walkers are mounted on wheels or a device that allows independent horizontal movement.”

Health Canada notes that baby walkers are banned in Canada. Children in baby walkers can be exposed to hazards that they wouldn’t normally be able to access. This poses various risks of injury to the child. Children in baby walkers can also fall down the stairs, leading to serious injury or even death.
What to Do
Consumers with the affected product are asked to immediately stop using it. It should be safely disposed of in a way that it cannot be used again.
“The product has been removed from sale online from the Fruugo.ca website. Health Canada has contacted the foreign selling company who has been unresponsive to requests to voluntary recall, therefore Health Canada is advising consumers to immediately stop using the affected baby walker.”
