These Swim to Survive classes are put on by a partnership between the Lifesaving Society and Vancouver Lifeguard Association for children and youth.
Swim to Survive courses are being offered to 240 youth aged 7-years-old to 18-years-old on the following dates:
- Tuesday, July 23rd: 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Kitsilano Pool
- Sunday, July 28th: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at New Brighton Pool
“This is the fourth year that the Park Board has offered this program to the public. Last year, more than 500 youth and children took the free course,” said Park Board Chair Stuart Mackinnon.
