Witchilano Paddle 2025
Calling all witches and warlocks! Vancouver’s 5th Annual Witchilano SUP Paddle is returning to from Kitsilano Beach. Come dressed in your best witch and mainly in black attire to create a spooky atmosphere for this fun outdoor adventure.
The group will paddle from Kitsilano to Granville Island, casting spells along the way. Those who wish to complete the full loop can paddle back to Kitsilano Beach, while others are free to finish at Granville Island.
This year’s event will be taking place on Saturday, October 4th. Participants can gather at Kitsilano Beach on the beach in front of the main washroom building before launching their boards at 11:30 am.
The event promises to combine eerie fun with a scenic stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) experience. Witchilano encourages creativity and inclusivity. All paddlers are invited to join, provided they have some prior experience with SUP. This event may not be suitable for first-time paddlers, as safety is key. All participants should have their personal flotation device and leash. There will be no official supervision or lifeguards.

You can attend the event for free, but in the spirit of community, they are collecting donations for SHARE Family and Community Services. Attendees are encouraged to bring packaged food, such as canned goods, grains, or baby formula, or offer cash donations.
