For over a decade, the Money Hungry Block Party, hosted at The Front Supply in East Vancouver, has been more than just a summer gathering—it’s a movement rooted in community, culture, and care. What started as a neighborhood celebration has grown into a grassroots fundraiser that has already raised more than $25,000 for local youth programs, mental health initiatives, and families in need.
Past contributions have supported organizations such as the Latin American Youth Program (LAYP) at Britannia, CLICK (inner-city kids support), Swishin’ Mission (basketball court building), and the Strathcona Community Safety Organization, along with direct aid to community members facing life-changing challenges.
This year’s Block Party continues that tradition, with funds going directly to support a local family of four after the mother’s sudden breast cancer diagnosis. Alongside live music, art, and food, the event will feature youth engagement activities, backpack and school supply giveaways (over 500 donated to date), and opportunities for the community to come together in solidarity.
More than just a party, the Money Hungry Block Party is about investing in the next generation of leaders, artists, and changemakers—one celebration at a time.
