This celebration of crab is coming back for its third year, and you’re not going to want to miss this mouthwatering festival.
FALSE CREEK CRAB FEST 2025
Hosted by BC Crab Fishermen’s Association and Chefs’ Table Society of BC, the False Creek Crab Fest is going to be a feast. The name of the game here is accessibility– not everyone is able to have crab whenever they want. This celebration is your chance to try local Dungeness crab so that you can really savour the flavours of B.C.’s waters!
And, if that’s not reason enough to go, you’ll also be supporting local fishers. It’s a win-win scenario: you get good, affordable crab, and local fishers are being helped by your ticket funds.
WHAT’S ON OFFER?
This fantastic event will feature a Dungeness crab boil prepared by Chef Vish Mayekar with Chef Johnny Bridge. There will also be live music, games, and beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic, whatever you prefer) to enjoy, too!
You will also be able to buy live crabs at the False Creek Fishermen’s Wharf. There’s something really special about being able to meet the folks who catch your food. So, take the chance to talk to the fishermen, learn about crab, and take some for your own home.
With a ticket, you’ll be able to have one crab boil plate, two clusters of local Dungeness crab, a crab cracker and crab bib, and one drink ticket.
You can get Early Bird tickets for $65 (plus tax) beginning May 25 until June 8. After that, General Admission tickets will be $70 (plus tax) from June 9 until July 5. And if you can only get tickets the day of the event, it’ll be $75 (plus tax).
The event will be running rain or shine. The False Creek Crab Fest will also tell you to “come HUNGRY”!
