Back for another vibrant year, the Chilliwack Mural Festival is about to paint all the walls of Downtown Chilliwack for another year!
This free annual festival is your chance to enjoy art, music, and community for two amazing days from August 14 to 15, 2026! Expect a massive, two-day street party to kick the festivities off, as well as additional mural tours on Sunday
Chilliwack Mural Festival 2026
Chilliwack Mural Festival takes everything you love about art and cranks it up to eleven. This isn’t just any normal festival, but rather a place where community and artistry collide to create a huge party that celebrates how murals can bring us all together.
This year’s muralists highlight exactly that, bringing life to stories of Indigenous heritage, social justice, endangered wildlife, and the power of the natural world.
Local and International Muralists
Confirmed to paint at the Chilliwack Mural Festival are eleven talented muralists, hailing from Chilliwack, Germany, Vancouver, Netherlands, France, and the U.S. The artists were selected out of over 1,141 applicants by festival curators Carrielynn Victor and Amber Price:
- ABYS (Nancy, France) – Julien Brouand is self-taught and self-propelled, and is known for vibrant, intricately detailed murals that frequently centre on the animal world.
- Aysha McConkey (Chilliwack, Canada) – Aysha McConkey brings a rare combination of scientific rigour and artistic beauty to her work as a junior biologist and wildlife illustrator.
- Jack Lack (Köln, Germany) – Jack Lack has created various themed murals, ranging from portrait work to detailed figurative sceneries. He is drawn to the interplay between nature and the urban landscape.
- JDL (Amsterdam, Netherlands) – Judith de Leeuw, also known as JDL street art, creates large-scale murals worldwide in order to draw attention to social issues.
- JEKS (North Carolina, USA) – JEKS (Brian Lewis) is a renowned self-taught graffiti artist and muralist, recognized for his hyper-realistic, large-format monochromatic and full-color portraits.
- Nina Kroeker (Chilliwack, Canada) – Nina Kroeker is a self-taught artist, residing in the Fraser Valley. She was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, where she found a love of art at a young age.
- Nina Valkhoff (Rotterdam, Netherlands) – A leading muralist and painter known for her vibrant, large-scale murals filled with life, plants, and animals. Her work blends realism with a touch of magic.
- Stan Greene (Chilliwack) x K.C. Hall (Vancouver) – Stan Greene has been carving for a living for the past 22 years, known for clean, precise carvings that are predominantly in the Tsimshian and Salish styles. K.C. Hall’s artistry was inspired by the Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts Program at Native Education College in Vancouver, BC., and he instantly fell in love with the visual language.
- Steph Babij (Ottawa, Canada) – Stephanie Babij is a visual artist and muralist of Ojibwe and Ukrainian/mixed-settler heritage. In her work, you’ll find elements of plants, animals, natural cycles, the spirit world, and the celebration of bodies.
- Steven Teller (Florida, USA) – Steven Teller is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is inspired by the beauty of nature, being drawn to the power of the sea, which has fueled his passion for creating art.
Festival Highlights
August 14 to 15 is when the Chilliwack Mural Festival comes together for its annual street party. Expect amazing performers and entertainers as they dazzle audiences, delicious food, and interactive art. And not only that, but this year will also be hosting a ticketed 19+ late-night show at Red Chillies Sports Bar on Saturday night! Everything will be taking place in Downtown Chilliwack at District 1881 and in Central Community Park.

Two Days of Nonstop Celebrations
There’s going to be a ton happening on August 14 and 15. Wondering what you can expect out of these two days? Here’s what’s going on at the street party:
- Friday, August 14: On the first night of the Street Party, festivities begin at 6:00pm and run until 9:00pm. You’ll be able to catch performances at both the Sasquatch and Thunderbird Stages, packed with live music acts. There will also be live art, interactive art and food trucks. Headliners include Chopping Spree! and Robin Layne & The Rhythm Makers.
- Saturday, August 15: The party starts at 2:00pm and will go until 9:00pm. Check out the Thunderbird Stage with performances from Blackberry Wood, and the Sasquatch Stage for Leo D.E Johnson and Peter Press Lee! There will also be more interactive art, food trucks, exhibitors, and live art at Central Community Park.
Live Music and Performances
This year’s performer lineup is nothing short of amazing. From country to pop, dance to circus performances, there’s something for everyone at the Chilliwack Mural Festival Street Party.
There are three different stages at the party, one located in each venue. You can expect a diverse display of talent at both locations:
- Sasquatch Stage: The Sasquatch Stage will bring lively rock, soul, and genre-bending bands such as Chopping Spree!, Wack, and The Imaginary Band. Head there on Saturday to see performances from Emma Alves, Dana Sipos, Retrofit and more!
- Thunderbird Stage: The Thunderbird Stage will showcase talents like local emerging musician MADDI K, Latin folk artist Yesenia Florez, and marimba band Robin Layne & the Rhythm Makers. Saturday’s lineup will see a variety of performances by circus band Blackberry Wood, beatboxer Poppa Nuge, and many more!
- Homemade Community Shoppe: Featuring a wine pop-up and performances by local musicians
The Sasquatch Stage will be covered with a 1500 sq. ft. tent that will provide shade for everyone, and can be found in Central Community Park. The Thunderbird Stage is located in District 1881, a neighbourhood of distinctive architecture and historic buildings crisscrossed by pedestrian alleys filled with loft-style apartments, unique office spaces, and locally owned restaurants, breweries and retail shops.
Great Eats and Gorgeous Murals
Festival-goers can also find live and interactive art throughout the celebrations, including a live painting of a Mural Cube at Central Community Park. Don’t forget to hit up the 40-ft. community graffiti wall, too!
There will also be mouthwatering food trucks lining the festival, the Red Chillies Sports Bar’s late-night 19+ show, and tons of kids activities. The Chilliwack Mural Festival Street Party is all about having a blast while interacting directly with art. The welcoming, family-friendly vibe invites all festival-goers to have a fun, mural-filled weekend.
