Driver of Lamborghini Huracan Gets His Car Towed After Speeding on Cambie

It wasn’t a pleasant evening for the driver of a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan driver yesterday.

While driving 102km/h, police stopped the 30-year old driver near Cambie and 45th in Vancouver. The VPD ticketed the driver $375 for excessive speeding and towed his vehicle.

According to Motor Vehicle, excessive speeding is defined in the Motor Vehicle Act as driving at a speed greater than 40 km/h over the speed limit. In addition to the ticket, the driver will receive three penalty points on his record and have his vehicle impounded from 7-60 days depending on any prior offenses.

The Lamborghini Hurcan’s sale price starts at $237,000. We think it’s safe to say the driver can afford the fines..
