Everyone Loses One Hour Of Sleep This Sunday

Clocks are springing forward one hour this Sunday, March 11th, with the arrival of Daylight Savings.

It’s the perfect way to get celebrate the arrival of Spring with longer days. Sunrises will now approximately be around 7:30 to 8am, whereas sunrises will drift towards 7pm.

Daylight Savings Time originated as a concept to try and make use of the daylight and reduce artificial light, hence the name. Germany and Austria were the first countries to start implementing the concept, and it was first used in Canada in 1908.

Time moves forward at 3am Sunday March 11th PT, and stays that way until Sunday, November 4th PT.
