On August 25th, 2019 just after 9:00 p.m., Chilliwack RCMP front line officers responded to a report of a robbery at a private liquor store in the 45000 block of Yale Road.

The male suspect entered the business, produced what appeared to be a firearm, and demanded money, while getting away with some cash.

The suspect is described as a male, in his 40s or 50s, with large ears, greyish hair, and a dark coloured moustache. The suspect was wearing a ball cap with lettering on it, dark sunglasses, a black jacket, slim fit jeans and black running shoes with white soles.

Furthermore, he was carrying a light grey or khaki reusable bag with black handles and white writing.

If you have any information about this armed robbery suspect, please contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611, or should you wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).

Earlier today, police in North Vancouver also issued a warning to the public about a new smartphone scam.
