A vibrant new mural titled People of Vancouver by acclaimed artist Chairman Ting is bringing fresh energy to the streets of downtown Vancouver.
Commissioned by Downtown Van, the mural stretches an impressive 120 feet wide by 20 feet tall, covering a large outdoor (off Seymour Street) wall with striking hand-painted portraits. The project is a celebration of notable Vancouverites, blending art and culture into a captivating public installation.

Chairman Ting
Chairman Ting and his team initially planned to use a boom lift for the job, but due to soft ground conditions that couldn’t support the massive 22,000-pound machinery, they shifted to a rolling tower instead.
Despite the change, the mural has come together beautifully, thanks in large part to the dedication and skill of the crew, including Cody Swinkels, Lynol Lui, and J Nasty, all of whom were essential in bringing the artwork to life.

People of Vancouver
The mural features a host of Vancouver stars, including Nardwuar (finally someone did a mural with him in it), Seth Rogen, Pamela Anderson, and Ryan Reynolds. But these are just a few of the iconic faces captured in this massive, intricate mural. Chairman Ting poses a fun challenge for passersby: How many more famous Vancouverites can you spot?

Located in the heart of downtown, People of Vancouver is one of the largest and most detailed hand-painted murals ever undertaken by the artist, making it a must-see for locals and visitors alike.
