It’s officially patio season and a brand new eatery has recently popped up in Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
The 1,350-square-foot Cliff House Restaurant opened their doors a few months ago, just in time for Summer. Nestled amongst the lush trees of the rainforest and overlooking the Capilano Canyon—this is the most serene spot for a patio.
Find this gem just past the entrance to the Cliff Walk—hence its name. It seats 76-people inside and 74-people outside on the sprawling patio. It’s the perfect place to sit back and relax after braving the suspension bridge and exploring the park’s other activities.
Dig into casual eats that are inspired by the West Coast with Ocean Wise seafood dishes, BC wines and a selection of locally crafted beers on tap. Other items on the menu include: Baked Creamed Brie, Cliff Walk Salad, Chicken & Avocado Club as well as Ale Battered Fish & Chips.
Make sure you save room for dessert though—they whip up a decadent Key Lime Pie and a comforting Peach Cobbler.
The restaurant itself is stunning, making it fit in naturally with the rest of the park. It features a timber frame structure, using Douglas-fir posts and beams. With 18-foot vaulted ceilings and 17-foot high windows, you get scenic views from every vantage point.
