Canada has found itself near the top of yet another world list, being recognized as one of the best places to live.
The inaugural “Best Countries” ranking was recently launched to capture how nations are perceived on a global scale, and determines each country’s position by looking at sustainability, adventure, cultural influence, entrepreneurship and economic influence.
According to the new U.S. based report, Germany is the best country in the world, with Canada closely behind at No.2.
Over 16,200 business leaders, high fliers, and other members of the public participated in the survey to piece together the overall results for the best countries worldwide:

- Canada
- United Kingdom
- United States
- Sweden
- Australia
- Japan
- France
- Netherlands
- Denmark
In addition to being named the second best country, Canada also scored No.2 for education, No.3 for raising kids,and No.3 for comfortable retirement.
