Arnold “The Governator” Schwarzenegger is returning to Vancouver, where he previously shot sci-fi action film The 6th Day, for a movie centered around his character’s murder.
Schwarzenegger plays Gunther, an arrogant hitman whose demise is plotted by a team of other assassins.

Why We’re Killing Gunther is written by Taran Killam (Saturday Night Live) who also makes his directorial debut and will co-star in the film alongside his real-life wife and beloved Vancouver-born actress Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother).
Bobby Moynihan, another SNL cast member joins the ensemble, as well as Paul Brittain, Kumail Nanjiani, Randall Park and Ryan Gaul.
The action comedy is expected to shoot in Vancouver this summer from July until August (DGC-BC Production List).
