Air Canada has announced they will be offering non-stop flights from Vancouver to Delhi, India.
This will be the only direct flight from Vancouver to the popular destination. The new flights will be available starting October 20th—just in time for Diwali festivities.
The flights will be offered seasonally, three times per week on Air Canada’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft featuring 30 International Business Class lie-flat pod suites, 21 Premium Economy and 247 Economy Class seats with upgraded in-flight entertainment at every seat throughout the aircraft.
The new offer comes after Air Canada announced a direct flight from Toronto to Delhi, last fall.
To promote the new flight service, Air Canada is offering a limited-time special deal—with flights starting as low as $999 round trip, all fees included.
“Customer response to our Toronto-Delhi service has been extremely positive, and with this new seasonal Vancouver route, we are strategically increasing our presence in the important Asia-Pacific market in time for Diwali festival celebrations,” said Benjamin Smith, President, Passenger Airlines at Air Canada.
Premier Christy Clark weighed in on the news, saying the new flight route will further increase our relationship and cultural ties with India.
