As many know by now, the 2017 Pemberton Music Festival has unfortunately been canceled.
Pemby Fest is one of the biggest annual summer events in B.C. that brings out some of the best and highly anticipated acts to British Columbia for four days filled with live performances in a massive outdoor park.

With that being said, attendees who purchased tickets are shocked and disappointed to say the least.
Rip #PembyFest there is no longer a music festival in BC that brings in big name artists! 😔

Organizers are axing the annual summer event, and have filed for bankruptcy.

Angering fans even more, there will be no automatic refunds for tickets. The festival is now in bankruptcy and can’t provide refunds for tickets purchased.

However, ticket holders may file a proof of claim form as an unsecured creditor. This will be done with Ernst & Young, which is the festival’s trustee in bankruptcy.
Refunds may be available to ticket holders from third parties if tickets were purchased using a credit card. As each bank and credit card issuer have their own specific policies, ticket holders are to contact their bank or credit card issuer directly to determine whether a refund can be obtained.
The 2017 lineup was slated to host the likes of Chance the Rapper, Muse, and A Tribe Called Quest.

Organizers say that the festival has been hit hard by the weakening loonie since 2015. The Pemberton Music Festival was first held in 2008.

If you even suspect that you’re going to have to file for bankruptcy then why would you continue to take everyone’s money #shady #pembyfest

Was it because the lineup was wack @Pemberton_Fest #PembyFest
