The 49th Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival returns to ʔəy̓alməxʷ Jericho Beach Park on July 17 to 19.

The 2026 Festival welcomes 35 incredible artists and groups from across Canada, North America, and around the world.

Vancouver Folk Music Festival 2026

The Vancouver Folk Music Festival is a weekend of internationally acclaimed artists, emerging voices, collaborative performances, food vendors, artisan markets, family programming, and community gathering spaces.

The Festival opens on Friday with performances beginning at 3:00 PM across three stages before evening the Mainstage performances from Aysanabee, Hazlett and Sahra Halgan.

Saturday and Sunday, the Festival gets started across three stages at 10:30 AM with performances like Rise Up and Sing and collaborative sessions including Global Ties That Bind and Stories from Across the Pond.

On the Mainstage Saturday evening are Tami Neilson, Billy Bragg and Ruby Waters  with Sunday evening performances from Maruja Limón, Valerie June and BIM (Benin International Musical).

  • Canadian artists performing at the Festival are: Aysanabee (ON), Brianna Lizotte (Edmonton, AB), Cousin Harley (Vancouver, BC), El Balcón (Montreal, QC), Empanades Ilegales (Vancouver, BC), Gamksimoon (Terrace, BC), Haley Blais (Vancouver, BC), Kazdoura (Toronto, ON), La Déferlance (QC), Lindi Ortega (BC), Luke Wallace (Vancouver, BC), Ruby Waters (BC), Slocan Ramblers (ON), Surf Hat (Squamish, BC), and Tami Neilson (Toronto, ON).
  • Fellow North American artists include: Anna Tivel (Portland, OR), Jeffrey Martin (Portland, OR), Ken Pomeroy (US), Ruby Singh and The Future Ancestors featuring Arthur Flowers (Vancouver, BC/New York), and Valerie June (Memphis, TN).
  • Coming to Vancouver from around the world are: Amistat (Germany/Australia), Bia Ferreira (Brazil), Billy Bragg (UK), BIM “Bénin International Musical” (Benin, Africa), Brìghde Chaimbeul (Isle of Skye/Scotland), Hazlett (Australia), John Smith (Somerset, UK), Joshua Burnside (Belfast, N. Ireland), Maruja Limón (Barcelona, Spain), Mitsune (Japan/Germany), Sahra Halgan (Somalialand, Africa), Sauljaljui (Pingtung, Taiwan), Teddy Thompson (UK), Tina Dico (Denmark), and Yagody (Lviv, Ukraine).

More than just a music festival, VFMF is a community celebration filled with dancing, storytelling, food, artisan markets, and the stunning natural beauty of ʔəy̓alməxʷ Jericho Beach Park. This is the place where musical borders dissolve and the beach becomes a stage for cultural connection and discovery. Throughout the festival site enjoy a vibrant mosaic of global artistry and Canadian heart all weekend long.

  • Weekend Passes: Adult $250 | 65 plus $220 | Student $165 
  • Single-Day Tickets:
    • Adult Friday: $85 | Saturday or Sunday: $150
    • 65 plus Friday: $70 | Saturday or Sunday: $125
    • Student/Youth Friday: $45 | Saturday or Sunday: $90
  • Evening Tickets: All Tickets: $75
  • All Weekend: Children 12 and under FREE
