Are you ready for Metro Vancouver’s favourite holiday tradition? The Surrey Tree Lighting Festival is returning for another big and bright year to spread all the holiday cheer and jolly vibes! For two festive days on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23Surrey Civic Plaza will become a dazzling display packed with tons of free holiday fun like amusement park rides, a Holiday Market, and a brand-new 4,000-square-foot outdoor ice skating rink!

This annual tradition, presented by Concord Pacific, is beloved by folks all over the Lower Mainland. Every year, folks from all around Metro Vancouver gather to marvel at the centrepiece of the event: the lighting of Surrey’s massive, sparkling, and extraordinary 60-foot Christmas tree, which is happening on Saturday, November 22 at 6:30pm!

Bear Creek Lights

The beloved Bear Creek Lights event is back for its 13th year, lighting up the garden from November 7 to 21 (closed November 11 for Remembrance Day). This year’s edition brings an immersive one-kilometre walking path lined with dazzling light displays, a lighted tunnel, and interactive photo ops that highlight the natural beauty of the park. Whether you’re looking for a romantic stroll, a fun family outing, or just the perfect backdrop for your next post, this free event has you covered.

Bear Creek Park transforms after dark into a magical wonderland. Expect vibrant light displays, enchanted forest scenes, and a few surprises hidden along the trail.
