Railtown Actors Studio Lab presents This Is Our Youth, a raw and nostalgic coming-of-age story set in 1980s New York City. Directed by the acclaimed John Murphy, the production stars three rising Vancouver actors—Alexander J. Skinner, Shanti Harris, and Olly Atkins—in a gripping, funny, and painfully relatable portrayal of young adulthood.
The play explores youth, friendship, and identity at a time when everything feels uncertain. Beneath the era’s haze of rebellion and confusion, This Is Our Youth captures the timeless feeling of pressure to grow up before you’re ready. For today’s audiences, it’s a vivid reminder of how those restless years echo across generations.
Directed by John Murphy—an award-winning Canadian-Irish writer, director, and actor whose work has been recognized by the Jessie Awards and the Leo Awards—the show is produced by emerging actor and producer Alexander J. Skinner in collaboration with Railtown Actors Studio Lab.
