This Saturday, November 24th, the much-loved Vancouver Christmas Market opens for its third year. Come warm your hands with a cup of hot Gluhwein, and let the festive ambiance and general Gemutlichkeit fill your heart with Christmas cheer.
Running from November 24th to December 24th, the Vancouver Christmas Market has become known as one of Vancouver’s most delightful Christmas season attractions. With more than 50 traditional wooden booths, including 16 new ones, containing authentic German products and strung with thousands of twinkling white lights, as well as a diverse lineup of holiday entertainment, the Market on Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza promises to be better than ever.
This year, visitors to the Market will receive free re-entry throughout the season with the purchase of one regular or discounted admission, so you can enjoy the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the Market all season long. Savour specialty foods and shop from a variety of merchants for everyone on your list. Be whisked away to another world by traditional European cultural entertainment, Christmas choirs, and the new X-Mas Factor Christmas singing competition, sponsored by Studio Cloud 30 Entertainment. Contestants will take to the stage every Friday at 6:00pm in this joyful competition, to give their interpretation of classic Christmas tunes and vie for the Grand Prize.
