If you are one of the courageous souls who is willing to brave past the U.S. borders to get your hands on some scrumptious egg-centred bites, then you’re going to want to stick around. It was just announced that you’ll be able to get your hands on these foodie-forward meals just a few hours from Vancouver.
EGGS, EGGS, AND EGGSLUT
Eggslut is exactly what it sounds like– a “gourmet food concept” focused on eggs every which way. More than that, Eggslut appreciates eggs like no one else does, and has fostered that in their menu. It’s fuelled by a true love for the egg itself.

Founded by Alvin Cailan, Eggslut got its start in 2011 with Alvin’s white food truck that he dedicated his savings to buying. That food truck was turned into the titular Eggslut, a breakfast sandwich place on the go. Driving round West Hollywood and serving up his creations, Alvin’s spectacular egg innovations took Los Angeles by storm.
Grand Central Market was the location of his first brick-and-mortar store for Eggslut. These days, Eggslut has locations all over California, and even some international spots in Tokyo and London. Their newest opening will be the closest Eggslut has ever been to Vancouver.
THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH
There’s a reason why so many people say Eggslut is one of the best breakfast sandwich places ever. Their food is feel-food and comforting, but still brimming with innovation and creativity. It’s meant to appeal to everybody on the foodie spectrum.

These breakfast sandwiches aren’t your run-of-the-mill sandwiches– no way. These are experiences.
Their menu features the classics. They’ve got a Bacon, Egg & Cheese sandwich, which has hardwood smoked bacon with a cheddar cheese and chipotle ketchup. They also have a Sausage, Egg & Cheese, for those of you who prefer sausage as opposed to bacon.
But they also serve the Fairfax with its soft scrambled eggs and caramelized onions. And let’s not forget the Gaucho and its seared wagyu tri-tip steak.

Eggslut’s newest location will be opening in Seattle. With uncertainty at the border, it may only be the truest egg-devotees that will be crossing to finally try some of Eggslut’s creations.
Although they have yet to release any details as to when they will be opening, we’ll all be waiting with growling stomachs for when they finally do.
