5 Ways to Celebrate International Women’s Day

1. Google Doddle
Google is honoring International Women’s Day with an artful Doodle, made of 27 womens’ faces. The whitespaces between the illustrations spells out the word “Google.”

2. Watch/Listen to UN Women’s “One Woman”
Singers from China, Costa Rica, Mali, Malaysia and several countries in between came together to record this call for equality between the sexes.

3. Attend SFU’s 3rd Annual International Women’s Day Conference
YWiB SFU is is hosting their 3rd annual International Women’s Day conference Sunday March 10th. At this years conference, attendees can look forward to the stories of motivational women, who’s focus is to raise awareness and recognize the work done by women in today’s society.

4. Visit UN Foundation’s Global Mom Relay
Starting on IWD and running through May 8, the UN Foundation is sharing a daily post about motherhood written by a host of noteworthy authors. The stories form more than a series of blog posts, because each time one is shared on Facebook, Twitter or email, it spurs a $5 donation to the UN Foundation’s four initiatives for women: Girl Up, the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, Mobile Alliance for Maternal Action and the Shot@Life campaign.

5. Instagram a picture.
Instagram posted a tribute to four women using the social photo app to share stories of “talent, triumph and humanitarianism. Share your picture by tagging #IWD
