Going to the movies just got better.
Cineplex has joined forces with Barco; a global technology company, to provide guests with an epic movie going experience.
Known as “Barco Escape” auditoriums, the cinema is equipped with two additional side screens. The panoramic style viewing allows guests to have a truly unique experience.

The first deployment of this incredible technology in Canada will open at Vancouver’s Scotiabank Theatre on 900 Burrard Street. Theatres in Edmonton and Toronto will be soon to follow.
All three of the auditoriums are set to open in time for the premiere of Star Trek Beyond, on July 22nd. Tickets to the movie are on sale starting today and the screening will feature a bonus 20 minutes of Star Trek Beyond footage.

Cineplex also recently debuted their VIP Theatre in South Vancouver earlier this year, featuring VIP auditoriums and a licensed lounge.
