The rain will “re-develop later this afternoon or early this evening”. Due to a strong southerly flow, “abundant moisture” will be present over northern and eastern sections of Metro Vancouver, and the northwestern portion of the Fraser Valley.
Rainfall amounts of nearly 50 mm are expected tonight across the region.
The rain will slowly taper off overnight and Sunday calls for a risk of thunderstorms.
