Getting Uber in Vancouver has been a hot topic over the last couple of years and we’re finally getting a step closer to seeing the transportation company around town. A spinoff business—UberEATS has officially launched in Vancouver.
While you may not be able to hitch a ride with them, they will deliver you food from some of the city’s best eateries.
UberEATS will join in on the food delivery trend with other companies such as Foodora, Just Eat and Skip The Dishes, just to name a few.

The new food delivery app will focus on downtown Vancouver and surrounding neighbourhoods for now, but will eventually expand to other areas of Metro Vancouver.
Its venture into the city may be a way to help get Uber here sooner, which is still pending approval from the provincial government.
UberEATS first arrived in Canada after launching in Toronto two years ago. It then expanded to other major Canadian cities like Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton and Calgary.
Restaurants participating in the UberEATS app include: Juke, Basil Pasta Bar, The Blackbird Public House, Hubbub, Pokeworks, Bao Down, Pink Elephant Thai, Vera’s Burger Shack, Chickpea, Marble Slab and more.
