Trying to keep the blues at bay during this rainy Vancouver winter?

Right now, you can enjoy ping pong completely free of charge at a pop-up table in Granville Island. The table is available for rounds of fun on Thursdays and Saturdays at the covered pavilion at 1531 Johnston Street.

Hosted by frida&frank, the interactive game help you burn calories and have a blast. The company’s aim is simple: make public space a playground for people. As a result, they make the pavilion a truly fun place to meet with friends, and enjoy a playful sport.

After receiving a government grant in June 2017, the company has spread outdoor ping pong like wildfire. From Public Discos’, Mural Festivals, Greenways, and Plazas to Granville street and Chinatown, they are conquering public play.

In addition to ping pong, there will also be crafts, music, and hot drinks served.

The pavilion will host the activity from 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Ocean Artworks.
