Japanese Retailer MINISO Set To Open Three Vancouver Locations This August

Japanese lifestyle retailer MINISO, will open three stores in Metro Vancouver this month building on their major Canadian expansion plan.

It begins with their Granville Street (550 Granville Street) opening on Saturday, August 12th, 2017.

Moreover, this will be followed by openings in Richmond (8010 Saba Road) and Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby campus (8920 University High Street).

After these three openings, MINISO will have locations in Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby and Tsawwassen.

It’s exciting times for the Japanese retail giant as their growth in metro Vancouver has exceeded all expectations.

MINISO’s existing locations at Tsawwassen Mills and West Broadway have had higher than expected sales.

“We’re excited to grow in the Metro Vancouver retail market with the opening of our three new locations,” says Yi Ma, Vice President of Business Development.

Not to mention, Ma says future growth is expected.

“We have our eye on further expansion in the city and hope to continue to provide high quality products and competitive prices to our customers all around the Lower Mainland.”

MINISO Granville Street Location

At the August 12th opening, shoppers will be treated to a musical performance, ribbon cutting ceremony, and sweet treats. It all starts at 11:00 a.m.

In addition, the first 100 guests to visit the store will receive a free MINISO tote bag.

The Granville Street location is 4900 square feet large. The store will sell products in categories such as lifestyle products, digital accessories, beauty and stationary.
