Residents of Metro Vancouver were shocked to learn that the forecast was calling for a slight chance of snow in the upcoming weekend.
It turns out that the snowfall may come even sooner than expected.
Environment Canada states that the snowfall could begin as early as Friday night, rather than commencing on Saturday. Some reports say it could be as early as Thursday night, but only for higher elevations.

Temperatures are expected to cool down through the week. The coldest temperature is expected to fall around -2 degrees on Saturday night.
Metro Vancouver Forecast
The Fraser Valley is expected to incur greater accumulations of snowfall. An arctic front is bringing a cold front into the southern coastal regions of British Columbia.
This is great news for snow enthusiasts as Whistler Blackcomb will receive even more snowfall, as well as Grouse and Cypress mountains.
