The BC SPCA has set up a medical emergency fund page for a husky puppy that was surrendered to their Vancouver shelter.
Bear, a husky puppy, appeared “lethargic” when he arrived at the shelter and it was clear something was wrong.

The puppy was rushed to the vet and it was discovered he had consumed a toxic level of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a compound found in cannabis.
“Bear had overdosed and needed emergency care to clear his system,” reads a statement.
“Thankfully he survived, but he is more than a cautionary tale, he is a survivor. This little husky puppy is recovering now, but he truly could have died”.
The BC SPCA says that donations are needed for his emergency care and recovery. Any money raised will help pay for surgery, medication, vaccinations, regular health check, and daily care for Bear until he’s ready for adoption.
