Public Disco is expanding with an exciting new debut festival, bringing their signature open-air dance floor format to a landmark celebration in North Vancouver this fall. Saturday, October 3 marks the day that Public Disco is taking over the Shipyards District, transforming the iconic industrial waterfront site into a vibrant, 19+ underground electronic music festival.
With two stages, internationally celebrated headliners, and plenty of favourite local DJs, Public Disco Festival is set to be an experience that you won’t want to miss. Feel the vibes. Embrace the music. And dance the night away.
Public Disco Festival
Public Disco Festival is the centrepiece of Public Disco’s 10-year anniversary, celebrating a momentous occasion the best way possible– with a party. It commemorates all the pop-up dance floors, community connections, and transformed public spaces that they’ve created over one amazing decade.

“Public Disco has always been about transformation. The Shipyards District is a brilliant example of that same spirit, a post-industrial waterfront reimagined as one of the region’s favourite gathering spaces.,” says Nickolas Collinet, Executive Director, Public Disco, “This fall, we’re bringing artists who have helped shape and sustain house music culture to a site that was built to be reclaimed by the public. We can’t wait to see it come alive.”
Attendees can expect a stacked DJ lineup, a lounge, live visuals, and a slower room for conversations and deep listening. There will also be tons of bites on offer, as well as bars located around the fully licensed venue.
The Venues
Public Disco Festival is made of three distinct spaces– the Main Stage, Vinyl Lounge, and the Food Market. Each area offers something different, a new experience to step into. Whatever you’re looking for, whether that’s a bite to eat, house tunes, or a place to slow down, you’re covered at the festival.

- The Shipyard Commons: Main Stage
This area has an open-air, steel-framed structure that faces downtown Vancouver across the inlet. You’ll get all the views of the sky and the water while you dance to the festival’s headliners.
- Pipe Shop Venue: Vinyl Lounge
Head here when you want a more intimate, closer experience. This restored, century-old building is just steps from the Main Stage, and houses the all-vinyl listening room with curated visual art projections.
- Shipbuilders’ Square: Food Market
Feeling hungry? Satiate all your cravings right here, located in the heart of the district. Take a moment to soak in the moment and move between stages at this outdoor food market.
The Lineup
Across two massive stages, Public Disco Festival is bringing international sensations and local favourites under the spotlight. You can check out the Main Stage for all your headliner needs, and then go to the all-vinyl listening lounge powered by Lobe Studio’s spatial sound system with another set of DJs alongside live visuals by artists Toi Whakairo, clara, Laine Butler and curator, ephemeral objects.
On the Main Stage, you’ll find headliners Leon Vynehall (UK), Fred P (NYC), Prosumer (UK), and DJ Holographic (DET), as well as Dane (YVR) and DJ Hannah (YYV).
