Get ready to nerd out over books in the best way possible. The North Shore Writers Festival is back and it’s bringing the literary heat to Lynn Valley Library from April 24 to 26. Whether you’re a casual reader, aspiring author, or just someone who loves a good story, this totally free festival has something for you.
This year’s lineup is stacked with local legends and literary pros. Expect engaging talks, thoughtful panels, and real conversations with some of the most buzzed-about voices in Canadian literature. Authors include Daniel Wagner, Steph Kwetásel’wet Wood, JJ Lee, Chelene Knight, Laura Lynch, and many more. Bonus: CBC’s own Margaret Gallagher will be there too.
The vibe? Super chill and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can ask your favourite author a question, discover a new writer to obsess over, or just vibe with fellow book lovers.
All events are free, but you do need to register online to lock in your spot. And with how good the schedule looks this year, those seats might go quick.
Presented by the North Vancouver City Library, North Vancouver District Public Library, and West Vancouver Memorial Library, this fest is powered by the community and you can feel it. There’s also support from awesome partners like Friends of the Library Groups, North Shore News, Kidsbooks, and more.
