A celebration of culture, cuisine, and community is taking over Surrey. The BC Halal Food Fest returns to Holland Park from June 20–22, bringing a full weekend of flavour, culture, and community.
Now in its fourth year, the festival has grown into Western Canada’s largest halal food event, drawing tens of thousands of visitors each summer. And 2025 is set to be the biggest celebration yet, with organizers expecting over 100,000 attendees throughout the weekend.
The best part? Admission is completely free.
A World of Flavour in One Park
With over 50 halal food vendors representing 22 different international cuisines, this festival is a dream come true for food lovers. From smoky barbecue and spicy kebabs to sweet desserts and exotic street food, there’s truly something for every taste bud.
You’ll find fan-favourites like Chaiiwala, Cheeseslap, Karavan Meats, Man-O-Salwa, and TWK Lebanese, alongside delicious offerings from vendors like Turkish Halal BBQ, Swahili Smoke, Paanwala, Baklava Ice Cream, Ankabut Donair, and many more.

BC Halal Food Fest
Beyond the incredible eats, the BC Halal Food Fest is a vibrant cultural experience. The festival features carnival rides, a bustling market bazaar, and a live cultural stage packed with performances from across the globe (see schedule here).
Festivities officially kick off on Friday, June 20 at 3 PM, with an opening ceremony and country flag show, celebrating the rich diversity of Canada through the lens of international cuisine.
This year’s theme, “Canada: A Tapestry of Cultures”, highlights Canadian businesses, brands, and communities that make up the multicultural mosaic we’re so proud of. Expect performances, community showcases, and plenty of Instagram-worthy moments throughout the weekend.
