Get ready for an electrifying basketball experience as the Ball Don’t Stop Pro-Am Classic returns to Simon Fraser University on August 17. This year’s event promises to be a thrilling showcase, with several NBA stars expected to hit the court.
Among the notable players anticipated to participate are:
- Shaedon Sharpe: The Canadian high-flyer from the Portland Trail Blazers, who just completed his second NBA season with impressive averages of 15.9 PPG and 5.0 RPG.
- Malachi Flynn: Former Toronto Raptor now with the Detroit Pistons, Flynn recently erupted for 50 points in a game. The Seattle native was the 2022 Ball Don’t Stop Pro-Am MVP in Toronto, where he scored 52 points playing alongside Scottie Barnes.
- KJ Martin: The Philadelphia 76ers high-flyer and son of former NBA All-Star Kenyon Martin is also expected to dazzle the crowd.
- MarJon Beauchamp: The Milwaukee Bucks forward and Seattle, WA native may also make an appearance.
The event promises more surprises and potential appearances by NBA legends, making it a must-attend for basketball enthusiasts.
Last year’s event was unforgettable, with Celtics guard Payton Pritchard setting the Pro-Am scoring record with an astounding 61 points in front of a sold-out SFU crowd. Pritchard later went on to win an NBA championship this season.
