Come celebrate Japanese Canadian art and culture with us on the BC Day long weekend!
This year, there are more than 60 performances and presentations across multiple venues.
Highlights include:
- butoh dance from Kokoro Dance, Kintsugi
- an interactive internment installation by Annie Sumi and Brian Kobayakawa
- a screening of local artist Cindy Mochizuki’s Between Pictures: The Lens of Tamio Wakayama
The program also features panels, walking tours, martial arts, taiko drumming, a sumo tournament, Japanese food and craft booths, children’s activities, and more.
