Hold your horses on busting out your shorts and flip flops – it’s not quite summer yet.
Snow arrived in certain parts of British Columbia over the last 24 hours, providing residents with up to a whopping 20 cm.

Silver Star Resort in the Okanagan received heavy snowfall on Sunday. The snow accumulation came between 20-40cm over a 24 hour frame.

Furthermore, Joffre Lakes and the Kootenays also got a case of winter shock with some snowflake action.
Snow In The Future Forecast
According to the Weather Network article a meterologist states “June isn’t a write-off, we’re just dealing with a minor setback”.
Fortunately, warmer temperatures are expected to return within the month.
However, with that being said, drivers are told to be cautious on the road with potential hazardous conditions.
