UPDATE: Tsujiri’s new Richmond location is opening on Thursday, February 14th, 2019.

Exciting news for green tea lovers! The iconic Tsujiri has been around for over 155 years and soon you’ll be able to sip on their teas at a cafe completely dedicated to the brand in Richmond.

The traditional Japanese tea originated in Kyoto. They’re known mostly for their green tea offerings like the O-matcha Cappucino and Chiffon Cake. In addition, they have an epic variety of sundaes, shaved ice, brown rice tea, milk floats and soft-serve ice cream on their menu.

The Richmond location was originally set to open up their doors sometime in July 2018. They also have two other Canadian locations, which are both in Toronto. Interestingly, Matcha is made from grinding green tea leaves into a powder that is used in beverages or desserts.
