While it almost became a ghost-town, the town is now a thriving centre for its inhabitants and tourists alike. It is a gateway to Strathcona Provincial Park, where adventurers can visit the tallest waterfall in the nation.

As seen on Instagram and beyond, the town is home to captivatingly beautiful rock formations. These amazing structures are magical to waltz through, and make for amazing photos on beautiful days.

Once a coal-mining town, it is also brimming with a great deal of fascinating history.

Galiano Island also has some amazing sandstone caves, that rival these ones in artistic beauty.

There are numerous activities to enjoy in this divine oasis. From hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, freshwater fishing, camping, snowboarding, skiing and hiking, there are so many things to do. There are two parks for skiing and snowboarding, and it is also popular for cross-country skiing.
