Fall is coming in with a bang.
A number of concerts take place across Vancouver this September and that has music fans excited.
The likes of Janet Jackson, Vance Joy, and Vince Staples are all in town this month.

Here are the 19 most anticipated Vancouver concerts this September.
September 9 | John Butler Trio

Australian band John Butler Trio perform at Malkin Bowl on Saturday, September 9th, 2017. Tickets are $45 and begins at 7:00 p.m.
September 9 | Dionne Warwick
American pop vocalist known for hits such as “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?” performs at the River Rock Casino. Tickets are $89.50.
September 10 | Thundercat
Thundercat, a native of Los Angeles brings his unique voice to the Commodore Ballroom on Sunday, September 10th, 2017. Tickets are $30 and the show begins at 9:00 p.m.
September 13 | Maria Muldaur
Maria Muldaur, known for her 1974 mega-hit “Midnight at the Oasis,”which received several Grammy nominations performs in Vancouver on Wednesday, September 13th, 2017. Her show takes place at the Rio Theatre and begins at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $40.
September 14 | Bishop Briggs

Bishop Briggs performs as part of Westward Music Festival 2017. She performs at the Vogue Theatre beginning at 7:00 p.m.
September 14 | SZA
American R&B singer-songwriter tours in support of debut release Ctrl. She’ll be with guests Smino and Ravyn Lenae. Tickets are $115.
September 14 | Westward Music Festival 2017

The Westward Music Festival comes to Vancouver from Thursday, September 14th – Sunday, September 17th, 2017. Some of today’s biggest music stars will perform live at multiple venues in downtown Vancouver. This year’s festival is headlined by Vince Staples, A Tribe Called Red, and Gov’t Mule.
September 14 | Chris Rock

Chris Rock is bringing his legendary comedic act to Vancouver on Thursday, September 14th, 2017. The Total Blackout Tour is Rock’s first tour in 9 years. Chris Rock will perform at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.
September 16 | July Talk
Canadian indie-rock band July Talk performs at Malkin Bowl on Saturday, September 16th, 2017. Tickets are $39.50.
September 16 | Shaggy

Orville Richard Burrell CD (aka Shaggy) performs at the Commodore Ballroom. His 8:00 p.m. show is sold out but tickets are available for the 11:00 p.m. one.

Grammy award winner RAC brings his show to The Imperial on Sunday, September 17th, 2017. Tickets are $25.
September 19 | Downtown Boys
Rhode Island punk band stop in Vancouver for a show supporting the upcoming release Cost of Living. They perform at the Fox Cabaret and tickets are $14.
September 22 | Time Tracks: The VSO’s Season Opener
The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is back for another year. Conductor Bramwell Tovey leads the Australian String Quartet and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in a performance of John Adams’s Absolute Jest for String Quartet and Orchestra, and more. The performance takes place on Friday, September 22nd and Saturday, September 23rd, 2017.
September 23 | The Blind Boys of Alabama with Ben Heppner 2017

Kicking of its 20th anniversary season, the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC presents The Blind Boys of Alabama with Ben Heppner. They perform on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. in the Chan Shun Concert Hall.
September 26 | Janet Jackson
Global music icon Janet Jackson is coming to Vancouver on Tuesday, September 26th, 2017. The show is part of her State Of The World Tour The 56 city tour began Thursday, September 7th in Lafayette, Louisiana. The show begins at 8:00 p.m. and doors open at 7:00 p.m.
September 27 | Vance Joy

Atlantic recording artist Vance Joy announced that he’s coming to Vancouver on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017. The show in Vancouver is part of his new “Lay It On Me Tour”. Joy will be performing at the Vogue Theatre. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 8:00 p.m.
September 29 | Zedd
Grammy award-winning artist/DJ/producer Zedd will embark on a new North American tour this fall. Dubbed the “Echo Tour”, the 11-city event will launch right here in Vancouver at UBC’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on Friday, September 29th, 2017. Tickets start at $36.50.
September 29 | Coldplay

British rock band Coldplay brings a little Paradise to Vancouver with guests Tove Lo and Alina Baraz. They headlined the Super Bowl 50 halftime show in 2016 with special guest performers Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
September 29 | Miranda Lambert
American country singer and songwriter Miranda Lambert performs on her Highway Vagabond Tour, with guest Brandy Clark. The show begins at 7:00 p.m.
