The television network that is FOX has renewed a pair of its Vancouver-filmed productions in Lucifer and Wayward Pines.
The word on Second Chance is still out but doesn’t look good after the first season’s low-ratings, night switch and reduction in the series order. It may get the same axed-fate as FOX’s adaptation of Minority Report did in 2015 – both filmed in Vancouver and trying to fill the Fringe / sci-fi void.
Speaking of sci-fi, The X-Files revival season this year aka the 10th season of the series may not be the last. If the revival continues you can expect more supernatural to be unleashed in Vancouver again soon. The filming for the revival season for Prison Break is currently underway in the city.

Lucifer’s first season was shot in Los Angeles and Vancouver, bringing the devil himself to our city. Wayward Pines was renewed before the end of 2015 and began filming its second season here last month. Season 2 introduces new characters and promises to continue the eeriness. It premieres May 25th on FOX.
