It’s that time of the year: the famous (and infamous) Aritzia Warehouse Sale is back in Vancouver, and the chaos has already begun. Thankfully, there are ways to make your shopping experience far easier, so all you really need to worry about is how long you’re going to be standing in line for.

Here’s what you should know before you go to this year’s Aritzia Warehouse Sale.
What to Know Before You Go: Aritzia Warehouse Sale
Only bring a bag if you need to
It’s natural to want to bring a bag while you’re out shopping, but the Warehouse Sale is a different beast. The event has a strict bag policy that allows only small bags inside.
Anything bigger than a small purse will have to be checked in at the front before entering the sale proper. But don’t worry, there are tons of massive shopping bags available for you to toss your finds into while you’re wandering the floor. You might even need two or three. And don’t be surprised if you see people tying their bags together into a giant shopping bag train.
To speed things up, only bring a small bag if really need one. It means you’ll only need to hit the checkout line, as opposed to having to wait to pay and grab your checked bag.
Wear comfy clothes

Odds are, you’ll be trying clothes on. The Warehouse Sale doesn’t have traditional private changing rooms, but there are large tent-like areas that are sectioned off specifically for trying on your finds. You’ll be changing around other people, so do make note of that.
It’s best to wear something comfortable and easy to change in and out of to make your trying-on process less of a hassle. On top of that, wearing comfy shoes will help you both in waiting in line and on the actual sale floor itself. You’ll be getting those steps in!
No gift cards
Before you grab those Aritzia gift cards you’ve been saving since your birthday, think again. Gift cards are unfortunately not accepted at the Warehouse Sale. Only cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay can be used.
Taking transit

Unless you live near the Convention Centre, your best option in getting to the Warehouse Sale is taking the SkyTrain. Located right two blocks Waterfront Station, all you need to do is take either the Canada Line or Expo Line all the way down to the very last stop.
If you are going to drive, expect your usual Vancouver traffic. Paid parking is available next door at the Convention Centre.
Some products could have imperfections
This one is helpful to know once you’re on the sale floor. Products could have snags, tears, stains, or any number of imperfections on them, so be sure to check them extra carefully before you buy. The Warehouse Sale is very strict on its final sale policy, which means there are absolutely no returns, refunds, or exchanges. Once you’ve bought it, that’s it.
