Two B.C. residents just had a major stroke of luck when they both won huge prizes from the exact same Lotto Max draw.
Lotto Max Winners
The first winner of the December 23, 2025 Lotto Max Draw is Whistler resident Cornelio G., who is splitting his Maxmillion prize with another player in Quebec. Cornelio will be taking home $500,000 as his share of the winnings.
“My hands were shaking,” said Cornelio when recalling the moment he realized he had won. “I used a self-scanner, then called my son to confirm if it was a comma or period. He said it was $500,000.00!” Cornelio plans to use the money to pay off his mortgage and build a home in the Philippines.
The other winner is Kelowna resident Edward M., who describes feeling “humbled, gobsmacked”, and in disbelief at winning $1,000,000 from the Lotto Max draw.
Edward said that he was at home when he discovered that he had won, saying that he “didn’t believe it.” He then shared the news with his children, and plans to share the win with his kids, as well as thinking about retirement.
Other B.C. Winners
Last year was been filled with notable Metro Vancouver Lotto Max winners, such as B.C.’s biggest jackpot ever that was cashed in at $80 million, and a Vancouver resident who netted $40 million with his ticket.
