Vancouver’s dining scene just scored another major win. Published on Main has been named the No. 28 restaurant in North America, according to the inaugural North America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list announced in Las Vegas on September 25.
This marks the first time the global 50 Best organization has released a regional ranking dedicated to North America, spotlighting the most innovative and impactful dining experiences across Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean.
A milestone moment for Vancouver
Published on Main has long been a standout on Vancouver’s food scene, earning one of the city’s first Michelin stars and topping Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants list back in 2022. Now, it’s being recognized alongside some of the continent’s most prestigious names.
The restaurant will celebrate its sixth anniversary later this year and is known for its hyper-local approach about 90 per cent of its ingredients are sourced from British Columbia’s farms, foragers, fishers, and producers.

Chef and team celebrate the honour
“I am so proud of our team,” says Executive Chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson. “Being recognized amongst our peers as one of the Top 50 restaurants in North America is a bit surreal. For us to be included amongst such highly regarded restaurants is really a dream come true.”
Co-proprietor Cody Allmin echoed the sentiment: “This honour reflects every single person on our team, past and present, from our kitchen to the front-of-house. We thank all our loyal guests for believing in us since day one.”
Raising Vancouver’s culinary profile
The North America’s 50 Best Restaurants list was compiled through votes from 300 chefs, restaurateurs, food writers, and gourmets. The recognition adds another jewel to Vancouver’s growing culinary crown, cementing the city’s place among the world’s top food destinations.
For diners, it’s another reason to make a reservation at Published on Main, whether to enjoy its multi-course tasting menu or to share inventive dishes inspired by B.C.’s natural bounty.
