On Sunday, July 13, Vancouver’s waterfront will once again be transformed into a celebration of cycling, community, and summer fun. Now entering its fifth year, the Tour de Concord has officially become the largest one-day criterium and family bike festival in Canada, and it’s happening right in the heart of the city at Concord Pacific Place.

This free event has become a mid-summer tradition for cyclists, families, and spectators alike, offering a high-energy mix of pro-level races, kids’ relays, live entertainment, and festival-style perks for all ages.

A Full Day of Races and Free Festivities

From 9:55 am to 3:00 pm, you can catch the action on a fully contained 900-metre cycling course featuring:

  • Youth and amateur races
  • Pro women’s and men’s races with international competitors
  • A new Kid & Parent Relay (for ages 3-6)
  • A Kids Fun Track Lap (ages 7-12)

Between races, the festival grounds will be buzzing with family-friendly activities:

  • Free bike tune-ups and safety checks courtesy of MEC
  • Live music, DJ sets, and Zero Gravity bike trick demos
  • Beer garden, food trucks, and pop-up exhibitors with gear and bikes
  • A Family Kids Zone with obstacle courses, games, and helmet decorating
  • $10,000+ in prizing, including bikes, hotel getaways, spa packages, and more

“We always support the cycling community because it’s healthy and aligns with our sustainable vision,” said Terry Hui, President and CEO of Concord Pacific. “The Tour de Concord is special because it also brings families together. Even in tough economic times, our events must go on.”

Supporting Local Health and Youth Programs

The event is more than just a bike race. It’s also a major fundraiser. All race registration proceeds go toward Cycling BC’s youth and high-performance programs, while St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation returns as the official charity partner.

“The Tour de Concord has played a crucial role in supporting cycling by donating its race registration proceeds back into the sport,” said Christine Reid, CEO of Cycling BC. “Together, we aim to inspire the future generations of Canadian cyclists.”

“We’re excited to welcome the Tour de Concord back to Vancouver,” added Mayor Ken Sim. “It brings people together, celebrates our city, and supports the incredible work being done at St. Paul’s Hospital.”

“This generous support will help bring compassionate care to patients, fund medical innovation, and accelerate the transformation of care at the new St. Paul’s Hospital,” said Sheila Biggers, President and CEO of St. Paul’s Foundation.
