The Richmond Night Market was one of the most anticipated events of the summer, drawing large crowds since they reopened in July.
Photos shared online captures the crowds enjoying the return of the event. However, others had concerns on safety, as social distancing wasn’t being maintained. In response to this, after it’s initial opening run, additional measures has since been put in place.
The market will continue to run every evening from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. And due to popular demand, organizers has also recently announced that the event will be extended until September 19, from the original September 6 closing date.

Additional Crowd Control Measures
Fewer tickets will be sold during certain times to limit the amount of people inside. A disclaimer has also been added to their website advising guests to arrive earlier, and should expect increased wait time and mandatory mask mandates.
In addition to that, their hours has also been extended over the weekend, with lineups starting up to an hour earlier.

To ensure public safety, organizers have also implemented changes this year to help manage crowds and manage social distancing.
