Under this new partnership, Transit Police officers’ main role will be to identify and investigate transit system users who are frequent patrons of the entertainment district in Vancouver.
Information, such as “intelligence regarding their lifestyle or criminal associations that pose a risk to public safety” will be shared with Barwatch.
Barwatch may decide to ban these people from participating in Vancouver establishments based on the information police provide them.
It’s safe to say many will welcome this new partnership to keep our city safe.
