Burnaby RCMP have released a composite sketch of the suspect involved in a stranger assault near Simon Fraser University on Burnaby Mountain.
The incident, which took place on July 14th at around 8:30 p.m., involved a 19-year-old female student. The victim was out for a walk on a trail just north of University Drive and West Campus Road at SFU, towards Burnaby Mountain Park.

According to police, the victim stated that she was walking when she noticed a man following her who tried to engage her in conversation. The suspect is alleged to have grabbed the victim by her hand.
Fortunately, the female victim was able to pull away from the suspect and ran to a parking lot located near Horizons restaurant.
At this moment, police are interested in speaking to two women who assisted the victim in the parking lot shortly after the incident occurred.
The suspect is described as a South-Asian male, approximately 19-23 years old, 5’9, brown eyes, and wearing a black turban, blue long sleeve shirt, grey sweat pants and black sandals.
