10th Annual Live VMO Symphony Performance
For ten years now, the VMO has been putting on stunning live performances at Jack Poole Plaza every summer, bringing together the Vancouver community under one brilliant sunset. It’s a beloved event for many a Vancouverite, and it’s a fantastic time for folks of all ages who adore music.
For classical fans, you’ll be able to recognize plenty of traditional masterworks like Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, as well as Verdi’s Triumphal March. And if you’re more into film scores, then get ready for tracks from Jurassic Park, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and more.

What to Know Before You Go
Some things to remember before you head out to the symphony is that seating is first-come, first-served. It’s best to arrive as early as possible to secure those good spots! Audience members are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to get comfortable for the show.
Jack Poole Plaza is situated right next to the Vancouver Convention Centre, making it easily-accessible by transit. All you need to do is hop onto the SkyTrain and take it all the way down to Waterfront Station, and then walk over to the venue.
